Wakefield High graduate played for the Bruins

BLUFFTON, SC — Robert (Bob) Ring went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 22, after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loving family and clergy.
Bob was born October 6, 1946 in Melrose, MA. He graduated from Wakefield High School, Acadia University, and received his master’s degree from Boston University.
Bob retired from the phone company as director of Human Resources in Boston. He and Boo moved to the Hilton Head, SC area in 1996, where he worked as director of Marketing for Berkeley Hall Club and Belfair.
Bob was an avid golfer, a member of Church of the Cross, he loved to travel and was a friend to everyone he met.
Bob played junior hockey for the Niagara Falls Flyers in Ontario, Canada and professionally for the Boston Bruins. He was inducted into The Acadia University Hockey Hall of Fame.
Bob loved his wife and best friend, Boo, to the moon and back.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 3, at Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun St., Bluffton, SC.
