simpson-obit-webSALEM — Robert (Bob) Simpson passed away unexpectedly Aug. 26 at his home in Salem.

Born May 20, 1951, he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Hawkes) Simpson.

Bob always had a big smile and a funny one-liner for everyone he met. Bob was a sports fanatic, loved traveling, taking photos, going to concerts and spending time at the beach. He was a truck driver and house painter.

Bob is survived by his sons Kirk Simpson and his wife Kelly of Colorado and Eric Simpson and his wife Susan also of Colorado. He was the proud grandfather of Kaitlyn, Kevyn and Brody. He is also survived by his brother Charles (Skip) Simpson and his wife Cabiria of Kennebunk, Maine, brother David Simpson and his wife Jane of Exeter, N.H. and his sister Barbara and her husband Jim McCarthy of Wakefield. He also leaves behind nephews, Brian, Patrick, Jared, James, Jake, Luke and one niece Sara, along with great nephews and nieces.

There will be a service on Saturday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m., at St. Florence Church, Butler Avenue, Wakefield, followed by a get together for family and friends.
