WAKEFIELD — Rosaria A. “Sally” Angelo, 105, of Wakefield, formerly of Medford, died on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born in Newburyport on March 7, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Anna Maria (Mirabile) Angelo.

Sally was raised in Newburyport and Somerville. She had lived in Wakefield and Medford and was a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield. Sally had worked for the federal government and was stationed in Germany, Turkey, Japan, and Hanscom Air Force Base. She was an avid skier and had a love for children. She shared her zest for life with everyone she met. Sally always appreciated the tender care she received from Bear Hill Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by her two brothers; Andrew Angelo and Anthony Angelo and her five sisters; Lena Gisone, Rose Abbruzzese, Grace Fortini, Phyllis Angelo and Mary Gloria Angelo. Ms. Angelo is survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield prior to the Mass from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

The family would like to especially thank the children of St. Joseph School, Wakefield for their monthly visits to Bear Hill Nursing Center.
