WAKEFIELD — Rose J. Taylor, 97, a life-long Wakefield resident, died at the Wingate of Reading on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
Born in Wakefield on Sept. 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Filadoro) Lanzillo.
Mrs. Taylor was raised in Wakefield and was graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1935. A member of St. Florence Parish, she enjoyed working and spending time her family. Mrs. Taylor had been a retired receptionist for the Curley Insurance Co. where she had worked into her late 80s.
Mrs. Taylor was the wife of the late Norman B. Taylor. She was the mother of Elaine Lancto and her husband Robert of Wakefield and the late Norman B. Taylor Jr. She is survived by her grandchildren Darrell Lancto and his wife Bridget and Renee Rosenfield and her husband Richard. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Taylor Rosenfield. She was the sister of the late Harry, Henry, Joseph, Ernest, Frank and Raymond Lanzillo, Filomena Bevilacqua, Emma Smithell and Josephine Monk.
Funeral services were private. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
