SAUGUS — Rose M. (Bove) DeNicola, of Saugus, peacefully entered into the Lord’s presence on Saturday, May 14, at home.
Born Jan. 27, 1927 in Manhattan, N.Y., Rose was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Maria (Lanni) Bove.
Rose was raised and educated in New York. After meeting the love of her life, Sal, they married and settled in Medford. Rose had been employed at the former Jordan Marsh Company in Boston and later at Converse in Malden.
Rose is best remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her life was centered on her family. She was a wonderful mother whose unconditional love and support was always evident. Her beauty was ageless and her smile unfailing. Rose enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She never longed for anything more than to be around those she loved. Rose was a woman of deep, abiding faith. May she now enter into that eternal life and light prepared for her by the God whom she loved so fully.
Rose was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. DeNicola. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and David Baughman of Saugus and her dear sister Mary Chiodo of New York. She is predeceased by her siblings Anthony and Frank Bove. She was the caring step-grandmother of Michael Baughman of Somerville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends gathered in honor of Rose’s life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Wednesday, May 18, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., before leaving in procession to St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
