LYNNFIELD — Reverend Dr. Dennis C. Bailey is retiring from the ministry after more than 41 years of service to the faithful in three communities.
The last 9 1/2 years of his career were spent in service to Centre Congregational Church as its pastor.
The community is invited to attend Rev. Bailey’s farewell service on Sunday, January 31 at 10 a.m. at Centre Church located at 5 Summer St. During this worship service, Rev. Bailey’s service to the church will be recognized and he will be formally released as pastor and teacher by the Rev. Wendy Vander Hart, the Metro-Boston Associate Conference Minister of the United Church of Christ.
A luncheon reception and celebration will follow the service 12 noon in Richards Hall at the church. At this time, the community, family and friends will have the opportunity to offer Rev. Bailey their best wishes for his retirement.
