WAKEFIELD — Sally Ann Squires, 84, of Wakefield died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Sally was born on May 17, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Cecilia (Dugaan) Kuhn.

Sally was raised in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School and later graduated from Mt. Auburn School of Nursing. She had worked at Mt. Auburn and Brigham and Women’s Hospitals. Sally was a Wakefield resident since 1964 and was an active member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild at the church. She was a woman of strong faith and devotion to her family.

Sally was the loving mother of Mary Susan Squires of Quincy, William J. Squires, Jr. and his wife Priscilla of Reading, and Gerard F. Squires and his wife Gabrielle of Stoughton. She was the sister of Peggy Larson and her husband Dave, and Ruth Mary Kuhn. She was the grandmother of Christopher, Katherine, Jessica, Robert, Cecelia and Jackson.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at
9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 .pm.
