Walker-obit-webREADING — Sandra J. (Bartlett) Walker, 77, of Reading passed away at Lahey Clinic on Saturday, March 11, surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 1, 1940 to the late Donald A. and Ruth (Clarke) Bartlett of Wakefield.
She leaves behind her two sons, Bartlett Walker and his wife Melinda of Lynn, and Michael Walker and his wife Lauri of Wakefield. She is survived by her granddaughters Jordan Walker of Wakefield and Michaela Walker of Lynn, her brother Arthur Bartlett and her niece Sarah Bartlett of San Mateo, CA.
Sandra attended high school at Walnut Hill and earned a degree from Connecticut College for Women. She had a successful career working at The New Yorker magazine, Lotus Corporation and IBM from which she retired. Sandra was known for her style and sharp wit. She was an avid reader and cinema critic.
Interment services will be private. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
