NORTH READING — The North Reading Public Schools is now accepting bus pass applications for the 2015–16 school year. On Tuesday, July 7, the North Reading Public Schools e–mailed its annual mailing with transportation and free and reduced lunch information to all students who will be entering grades 1 to 12 in the fall. Similar packets have been sent by mail to students entering kindergarten.

All students who wish to ride a school bus must acquire a bus pass. The full year fee for students in grades kindergarten to Grade Six who live less than 2 miles from school and all students in grades 7 to 12 is $300; the family maximum is $500. The School Department wishes to make all Parents/Guardians aware that responding to this opportunity is time sensitive.

Applications must be postmarked by Aug. 17 in order to avoid a $50 late fee; there will be no exceptions to this policy.

Applications can also be picked up at each of the schools; in the Business Office, which is located in the High School Media Center this summer, and can be found on the North Reading District website www.north-reading.k12.ma.us under the link for Business Office. If you have any questions, please contact Linda Mazzola at 978–360–1672.
