WAKEFIELD – The Wakefield Townies Sr. Babe Ruth team continue to play good baseball, even after a 10 day layoff.

After being rained out on Friday, they got to make up their game Saturday morning at Revere High School. The boys came out with a 13-4 victory, thanks to solid pitching and offensive performances.

Ryan Donald started on the mound for the victory, going five innings with seven strikeouts, no walks and three earned runs. Cole Krauss pitched the final two innings, allowing one run on two hits, two strikeouts and zero walks.

Offensively, every player had at least one hit. Ty Pugsley led the way with four hits and reaching base all five at bats. Pat Roche had three hits and Kevin Deleary and Brendon Coughlin had two each.

The Sr. Townies have a busy week coming up with 4 games in 4 nights. Tuesday and Thursday they will be home at Walsh Field for 5:45 starts.
