MALDEN — The Wakefield Townies went 3-2 last week in Middlesex Senior Babe Ruth action to improve their record to 7-4 on the season.
After a 6-4 loss to Reading on Thursday and a 5-1 setback to Medford on Thursday at Walsh Field, the Senior Townies beat Woburn, 15-7, on Friday night and Malden Marlins, 3-1, on Sunday. Friday’s game was played at Ferullo Field in Woburn and last night’s game was played at Pine Banks.
Wakefield is looking at another busy week with five games in the next six nights. The Townies play Monday at Arlington at 7 p.m. at Summer Street Field, Wednesday at Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Field, Thursday at home at Walsh Field at 5:45 p.m. vs Lexington/Bedford, Friday night vs. Malden at Malden Catholic and Saturday at home vs. Woburn at 5:30 p.m. at Walsh.
