RN, former cancer research nurse at Lahey

NORTH READING — Sharon D. (DiMartino) DiGregorio, 55, of North Reading, formerly of Burlington and Revere, died February 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her family after a long illness.

Sharon was the beloved wife of Dan DiGregorio of North Reading and the devoted mother of Marissa of Chicago, Ill., and Bianca and Cassaundra of North Reading.  She was the loving daughter of Joseph and Gloria (Gassiraro) DiMartino of Revere and the dear sister of Karen D. Bertolino and her husband Richard of Lynnfield. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Sharon was a graduate of Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School in Wakefield and the Boston College School of Nursing. An RN, she worked for many years as a cancer research nurse at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.

Her funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere, on Thursday, February 11 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, Revere, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
