LYNNFIELD — The volleyball team is currently riding a four-game winning streak after the Pioneers won both of its games last week.
The Pioneers (10-4) began last week defeating archrival North Reading 3-0 on Oct. 13.
Lynnfield dismantled the Hornets 25-11 during the first set. The Pioneers won the second set 25-11. The locals won the third set 25-10.
Junior Katie Nugent had eight kills, seven digs and one ace. Senior captain Jess Dwyer had 12 digs. Senior Shannon Ryan had 11 assists, seven aces and three digs. Junior Olivia Pascucci had five digs, four kills and four aces. Junior Rebecca Albanese had five digs and three aces.
Conquers Generals
The Pioneers kept rolling and defeated Hamilton-Wenham 3-2 on Oct. 15.
Lynnfield narrowly won the first set 25-21. The Generals bounced back and won the second set 25-22. Hamilton-Wenham won the third set 25-20.
Undaunted, the Pioneers tied the game at two after defeating the Generals 26-24 in the fourth set. Lynnfield won the contest after defeating the Generals 15-2 during the fifth set.
Nugent led the Pioneers with 20 kills, 10 digs and two aces. Albanese had 18 digs and four aces. Pascucci had 14 digs and five kills. Ryan had 15 assists, five digs two kills and two aces. Junior Laura Mucci had eight digs and one ace. Senior Jessica Morelli had seven assists, three digs and one kill. Dwyer had six digs.

The Pioneers faced North Andover on Monday, Oct. 19, taking place after deadline. Lynnfield travels to Reading on Tuesday, Oct. 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The locals travel to Triton on Thursday, Oct. 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Lynnfield travels to Bishop Fenwick on Friday, Oct. 30, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
