LYNNFIELD — Once again, the Villager is calling upon our readers to assist us in locating the winner of the newspaper’s First Baby of the New Year contest.
The baby did not have to be born on New Year’s Day to be declared the winner. In fact, only one baby in the first seven years of the contest has been born on New Year’s Day. He or she simply needs to be the first baby born to a Lynnfield family in 2015.
The contest is now in its eighth year and the Villager is joined by many other local businesses who are eager to shower the lucky baby with a variety of generous gifts.
Who will join these past winners? Henry Joseph Morton, born Jan. 4, 2014 at 2:14 p.m.; Elizabeth Lee Riester, born Jan. 1, 2013 at 9:22 a.m.; Sydney Tate Weyler, born on Jan. 5, 2012 at 7:12 a.m.; Sebastian Reardon Garcia, born on Jan. 3, 2011 at 11:42 a.m.; Amelia Sophia Xavier, born on Jan. 4, 2010 at 6:49 a.m.; Mia Shawn Daley, born on Jan. 5, 2009 at 3 p.m.; and Rocco Max Scenna, born on Jan. 3, 2008 at 4:02 a.m.
The entry deadline has been extended to Monday, February 2 at noon, so we’re hoping our readers will help spread to word to any expectant parents they know who reside in town.
Simply contact the newspaper by e-mail: LynnfieldVillager@rcn.com or by phone: 781-334-6319 or 781-245-0080 with the pertinent information and we’ll do the rest.
Entries must include documentation such as the name of the hospital or place where the baby was born, and the time and date of the baby’s birth.
The decision of the newspaper is final. Relatives of newspaper employees or contest sponsors are ineligible.
Acceptance of the winning entry is contingent upon the mother’s and father’s consent to have a photograph published of the baby and themselves to accompany a story published in the Villager.
