MELROSE — Two Melrose young basketball athletes took top awards recently at the Mystic Valley’s Lower School Sports Awards Banquet.

Tyler Story and Kate Story of Melrose both earned MVP honors for their work on their respective basketball team. Recognition was given to each member of Mystic Valley’s 5th, 6th 7th and 8th grade athletes. Individual MVP and Eagle (given to the student athlete that best exemplifies the ideals of Mystic Valley Athletics) awards were given to a player from each team.
