MELROSE — The Melrose Incarnation Baseball League held its Super Saturday Championship Day on Saturday, June 20.

It was a great day for the league to celebrate another successful season of youth baseball with a barbecue, DJ, T-ball games, Skills competition, Home Run Derby and three championship games.

In play action, the Marlins defeated The Blue Jays to win the Coach Pitch championship. The Pirates defeated the Dodgers in the Minor league championship and the Nationals defeated the Mets in the Major league Championship game.

On the roster for the Nationals this year were Charlie Haggerty, Brendan Fennell, Gavin Crowley, Dan Freed, Jake Rowe, Mark Alyward, Mason Pecci, Paul Sampson, Jamie Haggerty and Colin Taggert. They are coached by Leo Fennell, Aaron Crowley, Mark Rowe and Jim Haggerty.

Playing for the Pirates were Brendan Healy, Colin Walsh, Charlie Little, Will Gibbs, Ben Pytlak, Nick Sambataro, Brayden Sullivan, Declan Sullivan, Cole Lambert, Thea Sanzone, and Gavin Piasecki. They were coached by Ralph Gibbs, Bob Healy and Dan Little.

On the roster for the Marlins were Quinn Haggerty, Sean Maher, Sam Madden, Gino Preziosa, Brendan Doyle, John Arens, Julia McNeely, Adam Lambert, Paige Crovo, Erin Walsh, Katie Doucette, Luke Kelley, and Ben Madden. The team is coached by Jim Haggerty and John Preziosa.
