WAKEFIELD — The Spring 2016 Sweetser Lecture Series sponsored by The Savings Bank has been announced.
All lectures will be held at The Savings Bank Theatre, Wakefield Memorial High School, 60 Farm St. The theater is handicapped accessible.
On Tuesday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m., the guest lecturer will be Anthony Amore, an art heist authority, author and director of security since 2005 at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. He will speak on “Stealing Rembrandts: The Art of the Con.”
Kate Clifford Larson, historian and author of “Rosemary, The Hidden Kennedy Daughter,” will give a presentation on Tuesday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m.
The final Sweetser lecturer of the season will be Rick Beyer, author and documentary producer, who will speak on “The Ghost Army of World War II: Deceiving the Enemy with Illusion” on Tuesday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are as follows — Benefactor $75+; Patron $40 to $74; Series $25; Single Ticket $10.
Tickets are now available at Smith’s Drug Store, 390 Main St., Wakefield or you may mail your request/check in a SASE to the Sweetser Lecture Series, P.O. Box 1734, Wakefield MA 01880.
Tickets will also be sold at the door.
Net proceeds from the 2015 Series benefited the Wakefield Branch of the Salvation Army, the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry and Mystic Valley Elder Services (Wakefield residents).
