HAMPSTEAD, N.H. — Timothy John Tyson, 55, passed away very suddenly at his home on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015.
Tim was born in California, raised in Marietta, Ga. and graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1977 and from Southern Poli Tech University in Georgia. Tim lived in Georgia most of his life before moving to Hampstead, N.H. 13 years ago. He had his professional engineering degree in electrical engineering and worked as a professional engineer for Newcomb and Boyd in Georgia for 15 years and the past 13 years for Richard D. Kimball Engineering in Andover.
Tim was a loving and dedicated family man who just loved to be around his family and his large extended family. Tim was a “big time bowler,” enjoyed playing basketball, golf and skiing. Tim always looked forward to spending Christmas in Atlanta, Ga., going to the beach, boating in Gloucester and taking his family to Disney World.
Tim was the beloved husband of 24 years to Maureen (Ardagna) Tyson. He was the cherished father of Sean Timothy Tyson, Matthew Robert Tyson and Mary Beth Tyson, all of New Hampshire. He was the devoted son of Lorraine “Sadie” (Kinder) Tyson of Georgia and his late father Robert. He was the loving son-in-law of Mary Ardagna and her late husband Anthony of Georgia. He was the cherished brother of Diane Grimsley and her late husband Artie of Georgia. He was the cherished brother-in-law of Mark and Phoebe Ardagna, Joseph and Kiki Ardagna, David and Tracy Ardagna and Susan Ardagna, all of Georgia; and Ann Marie and Tony Hester of North Carolina. He was the loving uncle of Lauren, Cory, Ryan, Michael, the late Nicholas, Alex, Steven, Jenna, Eva and Lea. He is also survived by many other beloved relatives and friends.
Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Sunday, Feb. 8. The funeral procession began at the Gately Funeral Home on Monday Feb. 9, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Herbert Street, Melrose. Burial at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose will be private.
