LYNNFIELD — Tito A. Gentile of Lynnfield, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Oct. 28, surrounded by his loving family.
Tito was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Petrillo) Gentile, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. He was the loving father of Donald Gentile and his wife Christine of Revere, Thomas Gentile and his wife Jocelyn and Daniel Gentile and his wife Lauren, all of Lynnfield. He was the dear brother of the late Theresa Buono and Angelo Gentile. He was the cherished grandfather of Donald Jr. and wife Lauren, John, Michael, David and Alexander Gentile. He was the great-grandfather of Evelyn Gentile.
Tito graduated East Boston High School, Class of 1945. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a barber at the Hotel Statler in Boston for many years, before becoming the proprietor of Independent Travel Agency in Burlington.
Family and friends honored Tito’s Life by gathering for calling hours on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere and again at 8:30 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 3 before leaving in procession to Our Lady of Assumption Church Lynnfield for a funeral Mass celebrated in his honor at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
