As previously published by the Villager, the newspaper will not be accepting Letters to the Editor that endorse any candidates running for elective office in next week’s edition. As always, letters on other timely topics of local interest will be accepted, including Town Meeting and town budget matters.

Today’s edition of the Villager includes candidate statements from the two declared candidates for the Board of Selectmen, Christopher Barrett and Cathleen “Katy” Shea, who are vying for the only contested seat on the ballot this year.

The Villager will accept candidate statements and head shot photographs from the remaining eight candidates running for elective office to be published in our April 8 edition. The deadline for submitting such statements is noon on Friday, April 3. The preferred method for receiving both letters to the editor and candidate’s statements is via e-mail at LynnfieldVillager@rcn.com.

For those without e-mail access, mail typed and signed letters by the deadine to: Lynnfield Villager, 26 Albion St., Wakefield MA 01880.
