Stevens, Gallagher slated to run tomorrow at Franklin Park
BOSTON — The Wakefield Memorial High boys’ cross country team had two individual qualifiers for the Div. 2 All-State Meet, so the Warriors will be represented tomorrow at Franklin Park.
Sophomore Jack Stevens and senior co-captain Jackson Gallagher are the two Wakefield runners that will be competing tomorrow at 11:40 a.m. when the Div. 2 All-State boys’ race gets underway.
Last Saturday in the Div. 4 Eastern Mass. championship meet at the Wrentham Developmental Center, Stevens placed 23rd overall with a much improved time of 17:11.1 on the 5K course.
Gallagher will join Stevens at Franklin Park in the All-State meet as he qualified by placing 29th in a time of 17:21.8, also a big personal best. It is the first time Gallagher is going to the All-State meet.
