WAKEFIELD — Ursula M. Champagne, 94, of Wakefield died Monday, Dec. 5, in Winchester.

She was born in Wakefield on Dec. 27, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Lodie (Pothier) Muse.

She was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1939, and later from Burdett Business School of Boston. She was retired from the former American Mutual Insurance Company of Wakefield where she served as an agent for many years and later worked for the Joseph A. Curley Insurance Agency of Wakefield.

She had been a member of the Wakefield VFW Post’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Hurd School P.T.A.

Mrs. Champagne was the beloved wife of the late Paul F. Champagne. She was the loving mother of Susan M. Champagne of Wakefield and Cynthia Champagne Collins and her husband Kenneth Collins of Southwest Harbor, Maine. She is predeceased by her son Paul F. Champagne Jr. She was the sister of the late Leonard, Mike and Karl Muse, Shirley Elie and Claire Griffith.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Monday at 11. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friend will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
