WAKEFIELD — Vienna A. (DiTonno) Pepe, 95, of Wakefield died on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at her residence.

Vienna was born on May 19, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Elvira (Presutti) DiTonno.

Vienna was raised and educated in Wakefield and was a lifelong Wakefield resident. She had worked for Copley Shoe Factory in Wakefield. She enjoyed summering at the beaches in Falmouth and dancing. She was known for her great sense of humor and her love of children and babies and always enjoyed playing games with them.

Vienna was the life partner of the late Armando Stassano. She was the loving mother of the late William R. Pepe. Grandmother of Scott M. Pepe of Stoneham, Katheryn R. Muise of Rowley. She was the sister of Janet DiTonno of Wakefield, Lena Boccelli of Wakefield and the late Frank DiTonno. She was the great-grandmother of Zackery Pepe, Tyler Roberts and Hannah Lightbody She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Eva, Patti, Frankie and Joey and Michael Boccelli.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
