WAKEFIELD — Virginia R. (Leear) DiPietro, a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at Genesis Wakefield Center on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at age 80.
One of five children, Virginia was born in Boston on November 1, 1935. She was the daughter of the late John E. Leear and Rose (Rosemayer) Malloy. She was raised in Boston, where she attended parochial school and graduated from Girls School in Roxbury.

A Wakefield resident for over 50 years, Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She filled her free time with many arts and crafts projects, sewing, traveling, reading and cooking big meals for her family. She will be remembered as a source of great strength, kindness and love by her family.

She was the cherished grandmother of James DiPietro of Wakefield and Krista DiPietro of Pelham, N.H.
