A loving and nurturing woman

WAKEFIELD — Joan Marie (Stoltz) Mansfield, age 90, of Wakefield passed away after a long life in her beloved Wakefield home on June 8 with her daughter and son by her side. Joan was a compassionate, loving and nurturing woman. Her love for her family was unprecedented, no one loved her family like she did. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. May she rest in peace.

Joan is survived by her children Cathy (Mansfield) Marino and Frederick Mansfield Jr. and their respective spouses, Paul and Susan. She is also survived by her lifelong companion William J. Walsh. Predeceased by her husband Frederick A. Mansfield Sr., sisters Doris and Margaret and nephew Billy. Beloved grandmother to her six grandchildren Nicole Marino, Audrey Mansfield, Joseph Mansfield and wife Kelsey (Roche), Leah (Marino) Hubacheck and husband Shaun, Jacqueline Mansfield and Melanie Mansfield and fiancée Bailey Finocchio. In addition to five great grandchildren, Riley Downey, Kalen Hubacheck, Tyler Downey, Quinn Mansfield and Antonia Hubacheck. Matriarch to all including her nieces and nephew Donna Rheaume, Pamela Rheaume Mustard and Michael Rheaume along with their children Rachel McCarthy, Evan Mustard and Bryson Mustard.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Florence Church/Lazarus Center for Healing Shrine, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, June 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. She was a faithful member of Saint Florence Church known today as Lazarus Center for Healing Shrine. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in honor of Joan M.
