Enjoyed swimming, sailing and traveling
FORT MYERS, FL — Janice E. Blair Rinker, 94, passed away peacefully on October 16 at Cypress Cove Living in Fort Myers, FL. Born to Sarah and Thomas O’Neil and raised in Scituate, Janice was one of nine children and is survived by her sisters Ellen Prophet and Sandra Higgins both of Scituate; Kathleen Rindge of Pasadena, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Jan worked for both New England Telephone Co. and AT&T before retiring as a manager in 1986. She lived in Wakefield for many years and spent her retirement in Dennis Port and Marco Island, FL. Jan enjoyed her daily swim, sailing and all the activities at the Marco Island Yacht Club. She truly loved traveling and going on cruises, seeing many parts of the world.
She is also survived by her husband Franklin Rinker and her daughters Kathryn Blair Foley and husband John Foley; and Sheilah Boghos and husband James Zahareas. In addition, Jan leaves her six grandchildren Kyle Foley and partner; Sam Harris; Lindsay Foley Caton and husband Glen Caton; Courtney Foley and partner Daryl Nelson; Joseph Boghos and wife Monica Taylor Boghos; Stephen Boghos and wife Kimberly Pedrotty Boghos; and Blair Boghos and partner Sean Finn; and her five great-grandchildren Jack, Tucker and Susie Boghos, Isla Foley Caton and John Boghos. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years James Blair; son Stephen Blair; her son-in-law John Boghos; and her siblings Virginia Hunter, Paul O’Neil, Thomas O’Neil, Eugene O’Neil and William O’Neil. Services will be private.
