Businesswoman with a great fashion sense

MELROSE — Augustine “Tina” Rock (née D’Entremont) passed away in her sleep early Wednesday morning, August 3, 2022. Unable to walk due to an injury, she spent the last 3 months of her life in a nursing home. This did not go over well, because Tina wanted to drive, shop, get her nails done and go to lunch with her friends. Tina was fiercely independent and very social. She was also loving, caring, loyal, tenacious, witty, funny and a bit stubborn at times. She loved her family beyond words.
Tina was a businesswoman. She worked for Epsilon, which was based in Burlington at the time, for over 25 years in Human Resources and Facilities. She loved the culture, the community, the people, and the company. Those years were the best of her life. She also worked for The Lawrence Eagle Tribune and Sunrise at Cohasset. On the side, Tina studied and loved interior design. She was an artist when it came to decorating.
Tina was always dressed to the nines, with hair and makeup done and the newest trendy pocketbook on her arm. She was ready for any adventure. Tina made friends wherever she went, and she was grateful to have each one in her life. She died as she lived, with dignity and class. She will be missed and loved always.
Tina was the beloved wife of the late Michael Rock. Loving mother of Robert Rock & his wife Jessica of PA. Devoted sister of the late Nathan J. D’Entremont, Jr & his wife Elizabeth of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Katrina. Caring aunt of Kimberly Doyle of Stoneham and David D’Entremont and his wife Anne of TX. Great aunt of Crystal. Also survived by relatives and many friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Melrose Veteran Fund, 562 Main St., Melrose, MA 02176.
