NORTHPORT, Fla. — Barbara Jean Matteson, age 74, of Northport, FL formerly of Wakefield, died Thursday, September 23 in Florida.
Born in Stoneham on July 10, 1947 she was the daughter of the late James Ingham and the late Mildred (Craig) Bulfinch and the step-daughter of the late Henry Bulfinch.
Barbara was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She had been a Florida resident since 1978. She had worked and retired as a route coordinator for the Sarasota County School Transportation system.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Jim Matteson. She was the loving mother of Ken Pride, Rick Pride, David Pride and Mark Pride. She was the sister of Charles F. Bulfinch, Henry Bulfinch, Patricia Toth, Margaret Guillemette, the late Ann (Ingham) St. Clair and the late Donald Bulfinch. She is also survived by her grandchildren Cassandra, Kira, Caden and Taylor.
A graveside service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery, Elm St., North Reading, on Saturday, October 16 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
