A member of St. Joseph Church and loved to spend time with family

READING — David Jacquard, 62, of Reading, formerly of Wakefield, died on Thursday, May 5 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

He was born in Kittery, Maine on March 4, 1960 and was the son of Andy Jacquard and the late Yvonne (Muise) Jacquard.

Dave grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1978. After high school he attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy where he studied BS Marine Engineering, Class of 1985. He then went on to pursue a career with MWRA. David was a member of St. Joseph Church; he was married at the church in 1987 and it is where his children and grandchildren were all baptized. David enjoyed watching the Miami Dolphins and visiting Clearwater Beach. He loved spending time with his family and being able to watch his grandchildren grow and play sports. He absolutely adored their family dogs Bailey and Mac.

He was the beloved husband of the late Lisa (Joyce) Jacquard. He was the loving father of Brittany Smith and her husband, Ryan, of Peabody and Nicole Michelson and her husband, Bryan, of Methuen. Dave was the brother of John Jacquard of Reading and Denise Jacquard of New Hampshire. He was the grandfather of Cameron, Lucas, Owen, Ava and Blakely. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Barbara Joyce, his brother-in-law Richard Joyce, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, May 11 at 12 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9-12 p.m.
