Loved her family, friends and gatherings of all sorts

WAKEFIELD — Joan Noreen “Flashy” Logue, a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at her home on April 7 at the age of 82. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Robert Logue. She is predeceased by her siblings John, Florence, Michael, and Phyllis. Flashy is survived by her nephews and nieces, Kathy Ledoux-Walsh (her favorite), her Godson Michael Ledoux (who annoyed her the most), Stuart Thompson, Gary Ledoux, Diane Raymond, and the late George Thompson. She was also the “great” aunt (and she was really good at it) to Mikayla Ledoux-Walsh (upon whom the sun rose and set), Susan Robertson (who got yelled at the most), David and Rebecca Thompson, the late Kelly Ledoux-Walsh, et al. She also leaves behind her best friend Jeannie Dalton and her family, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

Flashy was a graduate of Wakefield High school. She worked for many years at Guillows in Wakefield and was proud to be in the “aviation industry.” Joan loved her family and friends and relished gatherings of all sorts. She was never for a loss for words.

Visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Avenue, Wakefield on Sunday, April 10 from 1 – 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Avenue, Wakefield, on Monday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place following the Mass at Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
