Loving husband, father and grandfather

LYNNFIELD — John F. Kennedy, age 88, of Lynnfield, formerly of Foxboro and Middleton, died Friday, November 25 at the Beverly Hospital.

Born in Boston on May 29, 1934 he was the son of the late John F. and Josephine (Meyer) Kennedy.

John was born and raised in Roslindale. He owned and operated a television repair business in Roslindale Square for many years. John and his wife settled in Foxboro to raise their family and made their home there for many years before moving to Middleton for a number of years and most recently had been living in Lynnfield.

John was the beloved husband of Shirley M. (Giannetti) Kennedy. He was the loving father of Lisa Kennedy-O’Dowd and her husband Peter O’Dowd of Amesbury and John F. Kennedy and his wife Christine of Wakefield. He was the loving grandfather of Steven O’Dowd, Julia Kennedy, and John F. Kennedy III.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Monday, December 5 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, Stoneham.
