A beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend
WAKEFIELD — Maria Jauk, age 97, of Wakefield died peacefully on Tuesday, July 13 in her home in Wakefield, surrounded by her family. She was born in Bonisdorf, Austria on September 27, 1923 and moved to New York City in 1957. In 2016, she moved to Wakefield and made her home here with her son and his family.
She is survived by her beloved son, Othmar H. Jauk, his wife, Shaula Jauk and her grandchildren Olivia Margherita Jauk and Isabella Maria Jauk of Wakefield. She was the beloved sister of Helena Lepke of New Britain, CT, Erica Pfister of Graz, Austria, Stephanie Ferroli of Zurich, Switzerland, and Franz Pfister of Graz, Austria. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends.
Her memorial service will be celebrated at the First Baptist Church, 457 Main Street, Stoneham, on Friday, August 6 at 3 p.m.
