An avid knitter and a retired Computer Technology professor

MELROSE — Paula (Kreisler) Velluto, 71, of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was born on July 10,1950 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of the late Richard and Clara (Losano) Kreisler of Elkland, PA. Paula was the loving wife of 42 years of Frank Velluto of Melrose; devoted mother of JuliAnn Velluto and her husband, Jefferey DiClemente, of Stoneham and Christopher Velluto and his wife, Elizabeth Shaffer-Velluto of Wakefield; proud and doting grandmother of Elena and Dominic DiClemente, cherished sister of Pamela Harris of Swampscott and caring aunt of a number of nieces and nephews.

Paula graduated from Elkland, PA area high school in 1968 and Babson College in 1972. She was a professor in the Computer Technology Department at Bunker Hill Community College for 31 years until her retirement in 2014. An avid knitter, she spent may hours with her knitting friends and helping others learn how to get better at that craft. She was also a willing resource for anyone with computer-related issues or problems.

Visitation was on Thursday, December 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster Street, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
