A nature loving woman who loved to make people smile

WAKEFIELD — Samantha Ann (Stebbins) Catanzaro, 44, of Wakefield, passed away suddenly in her home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Samantha was a graduate of Wakefield Vocational High School, Class of 1995. She worked in various positions from healthcare, cooking, retail, daycare and private caretaker. Samantha loved to help people and make them smile. She enjoyed various music and had a passion for animals, craft’s and creativity. She loved working for and taking care of the elderly along with children. Samantha also enjoyed being around nature, especially trees. Family and friends were her life.

Samantha was the beloved wife of David T. Catanzaro for 21 years. Loving mother of Max R. Catanzaro of Wakefield. Caring daughter of Donna (Devlin) and the late Robert Stebbins of Saugus. Daughter-in-law of Alfred and Lillian (Ciulla) Catanzaro of Stoneham. Sister-in-law of Lisa Burke and Alfred Catanzaro, Jr., both of Wakefield. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
