Enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with family

WAKEFIELD — Theresa (Langone) Amyouny, 91, a longtime resident of Wakefield, died peacefully on Monday, March 7 at her residence surrounded by family. Born in Somerville on September 27, 1930, Theresa was the daughter of the late Antonio and Battista (Tempone) Langone.

Theresa grew up in Somerville and attended Somerville High School. While working at Schrafft’s, the candy and chocolate company in Charlestown, she met her future husband, James Amyouny, to whom she would be married for 61 years. Theresa greatly enjoyed traveling with her husband, her many winters spent in Marco Island, Fla. and the time spent with her family.

Theresa was survived by her beloved husband, James Amyouny. She was the loving mother of Teri Kelly of Salem, N.H.; Joseph Amyouny and his wife, Sharon, of Wakefield and Stephen Amyouny and his wife, Julie, of Topsfield. She was also survived by her ten grandchildren, Robert Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Cameron Kelly, Katelyn Kelly, James Amyouny, Christopher Amyouny, David Amyouny, Paige Amyouny, Nicole Amyouny, and Brooke Amyouny, as well as five great-grandchildren, Eyan Kelly, Max Kelly, Aiden Kelly, Bailey Kelly, and Parker Kelly.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Avenue, Wakefield on Friday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the mass. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
