A caring and determined woman who enjoyed skiing

WAKEFIELD — Virginia M. Haskell, 93, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29 in Coral Springs, Florida.

She was born in Medford on November 18, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Edia (Chreiten) Gearin.

Ginny was a lovely, caring, generous, determined woman. Ginny loved spending time with her family. Some of the most memorable times shared were at the Killington ski house or entertaining at the family pool. Her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren were the light of her life. Ginny enjoyed skiing, golfing, bowling, and spending time at the Wakefield Senior Center. In her career she was a realtor working in Wakefield for many years. Ginny Haskell really enjoyed the professional time in her life. She enjoyed the challenge of the real estate market and established herself as a trusted realtor.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Haskell. She was the loving mother of Beverly Kelly and her husband, Tom, of Westboro; Richard L. Haskell and his wife, Jennifer, of Vail, CO; Randy L. Haskell and his wife, Cindy, of Davie, FL; Marilyn J. Graham and her husband, Richard, of Saugus and Rodney L. Haskell and his wife, Darla, of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was the cherished grandmother of Carolyn Lynch of Boston, Michael Kelly of NC, Edmund Spang of Stowe, VT, Marie Thistle of Wakefield and Jenna Marquis of Windham, NH and of the late Luke Haskell. She was also the great grandmother of Jax, Teagan, Isla, Ella, and Cora.
