WAKEFIELD — A potentially catastrophic fire was narrowly averted in Greenwood last night, thanks to the close proximity of the Greenwood Fire Station and the quick work of responding firefighters.
At about 7 p.m., police transferred a 911 call to the Fire Department reporting smoke coming from a structure on Madison Avenue in Greenwood.
