WAKEFIELD — The field of candidates for the April 23, 2024 Town Election is taking shape. There are seats to be filled that, as of yesterday, still did not have any candidates.
According to Town Clerk Betsy Sheeran, one three-year position on the School Committee and one three-year term on the Board of Library Trustees remain open. The last day to take out nomination papers for those and any other elected post is next Tuesday, March 5.
The last day to submit the nomination papers to the Town Clerk’s Office for certification is also Tuesday, March 5 by 5 p.m.
The following is a list of those who have “pulled papers:”

1/2/2024: Stephen Ingalls – School Committee – 3-year term – Required number of signatures have been certified

1/2/2024: Allyson Gael Houghton – Town Council – 3-year term – Required number of signatures have been certified
1/2/2024: John F. Carney – Town Council – m3-year term – Required number of signatures have been certified
1/3/2024: Jennifer Kallay – WMGLD – 3-year term – Required number of signatures have been certified
1/4/2024: Kevin J. Lopes – Constable – 3-year term – Required number of signatures have been certified
1/19/2024: Aimee Lominac – Library Trustee – 3-year term – Required number of signatures have been certified
1/22/2024: Scott Staiti – Library Trustee – 3-year term
1/24/2024: Karen DeJoie – Housing Authority – 5-year term – Required number of signatures have been certified
