WAKEFIELD — Wakefield’s Prospect Street railroad crossing will be closed from 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 to accommodate rail work.
This will result in traffic detours, so please allow extra time to pass through the area. According to Keolis, the summer-long Haverhill line rail work will involve replacing track between Reading and Boston with continuous-welded rail. A major goal of the project is to increase performance and reduce noise and vibrations experienced by abutters along the line.
