WAKEFIELD — Ann M. Payzant, age 81, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, October 5 at the Sunrise Assisted Living in Lynnfield.
Born in Wakefield on January 15, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Irene (Lazzaro) Sullivan.
Ann was a longtime Wakefield resident and was a former member of St. Joseph Church. She had worked many years for the Wakefield School department in administration. She and her late husband were avid boaters and enjoyed spending time in the Ipswich area. Above all things, she loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and aunt.
She was the beloved wife of the late Peter W. Payzant. She was the loving mother of David Payzant and his wife, Karen Hanssen, of Watertown and Nancy P. Walker and her husband, Timothy, of Boxford. She was the sister of Martha Philbrick and Eugene J. Sullivan, Jr., both of Wakefield. She was the cherished grandmother of Henry and Peter.
Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, Oct 8 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
