Longtime employee of Reading Dept. of Public Works

READING — Edward E. Haradon III, 78, of Reading, died September 7, 2018, following a lengthy illness. Born in Stoneham, raised in Wakefield, he was the son of the late Ella and Edward Haradon Jr.

Eddie was a graduate of Wakefield High School in the class of 1958 and he attended Essex Agricultural School. He was a longtime resident of Reading and worked over thirty years for the Reading Department of Public Works.

He was the father of Jason Banning of New Bedford and the late Edward E. Haradon IV and grandfather of Tristan Delacampa of New Bedford. He was the brother of Robert Haradon and his wife Elsie of Newbury, Vt., Nancy Meuse and her husband Peter of Wakefield and the late Kenneth Haradon. He leaves two nieces and six nephews and many cousins.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers of CareOne at Wilmington and the Compassionate Care Hospice for their diligent care of Eddie.

A memorial service to celebrate the lives of Edward III and his son Edward IV will be held Monday, October 1 at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Wakefield, 8 Lafayette St., 01880.
