Actively involved in St. Joseph Conquistador’s Marching Band

SANTE FE, Texas — Eleanor “Nana” (Bridgham) Lanzillo, 81, passed away suddenly on September 20, 2018 in Sante Fe, Texas.

Eleanor is survived by her brother, Donald Bridgham and his wife Hilda of Belgrade, Maine, her four daughters,Tami Lanzillo- Zeimetz and her husband Steve of Rochester, N.H., Nancy Lanzillo O’Connor and her husband Steve of Park City, Utah, Carolyn Lanzillo McDade and her husband Jack of Sante Fe, Texas, and Lauri Lanzillo Ingraham and her husband Ron of Titusville, Fla., grandchildren, Geoffrey Negm, Matthew Negm, Candice Carden, Christy McDade, Candice McDade, Kristen (Zeimetz) Rourke, Justin Zeimetz, Eric Zeimetz, Emily Zeimetz, Kristina (Ingraham) Nemecek, and Josh Ingraham. Eleanor was also blessed with seven great-granchildren, Brayden Negm, Jazmine McDade, Mikayla Washington, Triton Nemecek, Sofia Nemecek, Melody Ingraham, and Benjamin Ingraham. Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Edward Lanzillo, her sister Nancy Bridgham McDonald, and her parents, Merle and Ruth Bridgham.

Eleanor was born on September 5. 1937 in Portland, Maine to Merle Eugene Bridgham and Ruth Adelaide Bridgham (Harmon). She graduated from Gardiner, Maine High School in 1956. Eleanor attended Melrose Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1959. She married Walter Edward Lanzillo, after meeting him in the hospital where she was a nursing student in 1958. Eleanor and Walter settled in Wakefield, Mass., eventually moving to Saco, Maine where they both enjoyed being the owners of Evergreen Motor Court and then Elmwood Motor Court. Finally, settling in Ridgecrest, Calif.

Eleanor was a loving, caring, and compassionate daughter, sister, mother, nana, and friend and involved in the Greenwood – Wakefield Junior Woman’s Club in the 60’s and 70’s, and actively involved in the Saint Joseph Conquistador’s Marching Band in which three daughters were involved. She was an avid Bingo player and she loved the beach, especially Hampton Beach, where our family vacationed every summer for years. Eleanor’s love for her family and her beautiful heart is what she will be remembered for.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, December 2 at the Atlantic Grill, 5 Pioneer Road, Rye, N.H. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eleanor’s life. The family would like to thank the staff of the Emken Linton Funeral Home for their care and dedication during our mom’s final hours on this earth.
