DERRY N.H. — Janet M. (Rogers) Milligan, 73, passed away suddenly at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H. on August 27, 2019.

Janet was born in Boston on November 1, 1945 to the late Ralph and Florence (Forrest) Rogers. Janet was raised in Dorchester, graduated from Dorchester High School, lived in Melrose, Walpole, Franklin and several other communities in Massachusetts before moving to New Hampshire two years ago.

Her grandchildren were #1 in her life. She enjoyed Salem, N.H. Senior Community Center where she lived and would participate in zumba, yoga, and ballet. Janet loved to read, watch movies on Netflix, cook and crossword puzzles. Ms. Milligan also loved going to any beach, anytime and anyplace.

Janet was the loving mother of Wallace J. Milligan and his wife, Darleen of Hatboro, Pa., Tracey M. Milligan of Wakefield and Scott Milligan and his wife, Nancy of Windham, N.H. Cherished grandmother of Shanna, Sierra, Wallace, Samantha, Finley and Addison. Caring sister of Jean Kenney, Lois Galvin, David Rogers, Richard Rogers, Barbara Frangie and the late Paul and Kenneth Rogers. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday, September 6 from 8:30-9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
