Created and manufactured flags with her business “Create-A-Flag”

WAKEFIELD — Kathleen A. (Vaillette) Holland, 65, of Wakefield died on Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home in Wakefield after a lengthy illness.

Kathleen was born in Worcester on March 17, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Antonucci) Vaillette.

Kathleen was raised in Grafton and was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1974. She later was a graduate of Mass College of Art, Class of 1978. She had worked for Parker Brothers Toys as an industrial designer. She later worked as a Real Estate Agent for Birch Hill Realty of Wakefield and created and manufactured flags and operated her business as “Create-A-Flag”.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of John E. Holland. She was the loving mother of Kathryn Rodgers and her husband Adam of Wakefield; and John E. Holland III and Cassandra Durand of NH. She was the cherished grandmother of Carter Augustus Rodgers and William Theodore Rodgers. She was the sister of David Vaillette of NH, and Stephen Vaillette of Malden.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Church 173 Albion Street Wakefield on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, prior to the funeral mass, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect. Those attending the visitation will be required to wear a mask and are asked to kindly pay their respects to the family and exit the building to allow for all visitors to greet the family.
