Treasured time with family and friends

WAKEFIELD — Patricia A. Stephenson, 67, of Wakefield died peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington surrounded by her family.

Born in Malden on July 17, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy (Dingivan) Walsh.

Patricia, a longtime Wakefield resident, was raised in Malden and a graduate of Girls Catholic High School. She worked as a medical secretary for 18 years. In her retirement, Patricia dedicated herself to helping raise her five beloved grandchildren Joshua, Jill, Brandon, Ben, and Lucas. Although being diagnosed with cancer eighteen years ago, she decided to live each day to the fullest, spending time with her family, friends, and traveling.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert E. Stephenson, Jr., her two daughters; Tricia Bethune and her husband Barry of N.H., Jennifer Kiley and husband Todd of Wakefield, and son Matthew Stephenson of North Attleboro.

Patricia is predeceased by her brother Jack Walsh and also survived by his wife Janet; David Walsh, and Thomas Walsh and his wife Kathy. She is also survived by nieces Robyn, Michelle, Hannah, and many fabulous cousins.

Her funeral service will be held in the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
