Accomplished musician, talented oil painter

WAKEFIELD — Steven R. Hartshorn, 62, of Wakefield, died on November 27, 2018, surrounded by family in his home after a lengthy illness.

Steven was born in Albuquerque, N.M. and raised in San Clemente, Calif., where he graduated from San Clemente High School and went on to attend Ventura College and UCSB.

Steven was an accomplished musician and excelled at playing the guitar, piano and drums. He was also a talented oil painter and landscape architect, which he worked as for many years.

Steven enjoyed many nights rooting on his favorite team, the Boston Bruins. He also loved watching Nascar races and cooking shows.

Steven was the loving husband of Ann M. (Zitoli) Hartshorn and devoted father to Christina Hartshorn. He also leaves behind his father Donald Hartshorn and stepmother Ginette of Calif. and his sister Susan Krueger of Idaho, as well as many beloved nephews and nieces. Steven is reunited with his predeceased mother Maxine Flaherty and stepfather Donald Flaherty.

Steven’s family will be scattering his ashes off the coast of Maine, his favorite vacation destination, at a later date.
