WAKEFIELD — The high school sports spring season will be in full swing next week at Wakefield High.

The Warriors have been practicing and scrimmaging since March 21.

Four varsity teams will be in action on Monday. The boys’ tennis team hosts Arlington and the girls’ tennis team travels to Arlington. It will be the second match of the season for both Warrior squads as they each dropped contests to strong Lexington teams yesterday.

The softball team will start their season at home against Lexington on Monday, 4:15 p.m. at Blatz Park, Meghan Burnett Field.

The baseball Warriors travel to Lexington on Monday at 4:15 p.m. for their opener.

The girls’ and boys’ track and field team starts their spring campaign on Tuesday, April 5, 4 p.m. at Wilmington High School.

The girls’ and boys’ lacrosse teams will begin on Wednesday against Lexington. The girls will host the Minutemen, 4:30 p.m. at Landrigan Field. The boys will travel to LHS for a game at 4:30 p.m.

Season previews will appear in the sports section throughout next week. A full master schedule will run on Wednesday, April 6.
