HOOKSETT, N.H. — The Wakefield Squirt 2 hockey team recently won the Winter Classic Tournament in Hooksett, N.H. with a 5-1 win in the championship game against a team from Shrewsbury in front of a large contingent of Wakefield fans.

To get to the championship game Wakefield went 3-0 in the round robin portion of the tournament before beating the host New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, 3-0, in the semifinals.

Throughout the tournament every player on the team worked very hard, gave it their all and each made big plays at different times. In light of this when it was time to award the tournament MVP, the award was given to the entire team.
