BAILEY McDEVITT

WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League’s girls’ hockey coaches met recently to vote on All-Stars for the 2021-22 season.

Wakefield senior forward Bailey McDevitt was named a league All-Star.

McDevitt had a team-high 24 points this season with 13 goals and 11 assists.

According to Wakefield head coach Jacqui Mansfield, McDevitt not only led the Warriors in points but was also one of the top point earners in the Middlesex League.

“This is a well-deserved recognition for Bailey,” said Mansfield. “She kept us in a lot of games and could be counted on to lead our offensive attack.”

Wakefield and rival Melrose each had an All-Star named. Both of Wakefield’s wins this season came against the Red Raiders.

Freedom champion Watertown and second-place Burlington each had four All-Stars. Stoneham/Wilmington had two All-Stars. Watertown sophomore Molly Driscoll was named the Freedom MVP.
