WAKEFIELD — The WMHS state champion outdoor boys’ track and field team had 16 student-athletes named All-Stars in the Middlesex League’s Freedom Division.

The Warriors went undefeated in Freedom Division play and went on to win the Wakefield outdoor boys’ track program’s first state championship since 1968.

Wakefield had an All-Star representative in all but two events, and had multiple athletes named All-Stars in more than one event.

MARC BIENNESTIN was an All-Star in three different events for the Warriors this outdoor season. The senior made the list in the high jump, the long jump and the 4×100 relay. (Donna Larsson File Photo)
